Particularly when writing about technology in higher education, I fully realize that I may be throwing stones and that responses may prove that I live in a glass house.  That is what open discourse is for – to discuss, to challenge and, sometimes, to be willing to accept that one is wrong, and to change one’s opinion when appropriate.
